Yolo County: Shelter in Place

March 18, 2020

Friends, these are historic times and our current situation is dynamic and very real.  In our continued efforts to work together to protect our community, the Yolo County Health Officer has issued an enforceable Public Health Order designed to slow the spread of COVID-19. Please read this order; it includes important information for individuals, families, and businesses. Community members should leave their homes only to obtain or perform vital services. With this effort, we aim to slow the spread of the virus and protect the ability of healthcare providers to handle the influx of new patients. This is a thoughtful plan that will change our way of life for the time being. There is no need to panic, however it is important that we all adhere to the Order. This Order will remain effective until April 7, 2020, unless extended by the Yolo County Health Officer.

I am proud of and grateful for the amazing work being done by Yolo County staff, community leaders, and the amazing residents of Yolo County.  We are all in this together and we will get through this.  I look forward to seeing you all soon.

In Shared Service,

Yolo County Health Officer Order
