We've had several inquiries from community members about how to financially help nonprofits during this time of sheltering in place.  All nonprofits are in need of our support at this time, so we encourage you to continue giving however you can.  If contributions decline for just a month or two, many of these organizations may not survive.  In Yolo County, we are aware of several nonprofit organizations that have increased their efforts to support our vulnerable populations throughout this COVID-19 crisis.  Please consider financially supporting one or more of these groups.  If you are affiliated with a group that you believe should be added to this list, please email

Community Benefit Fund

At the March 24, 2020 Yolo County Board of Supervisors meeting, the Supervisors unanimously supported the establishment of, and provided $250,000 in funding for, a Community Benefit Fund to assist local nonprofits impacted by COVID-19.  This Community Benefit Fund will serve as a central location for donations to be used to assist local nonprofit organizations.  County staff is working with community partners to develop this program.  Stay tuned . . .
