Little Explanation for Increase in DA's Budget

Budgets are tangible expressions of our values. I believe we need to invest in youth development, housing affordability, climate resilience, and strengthening local businesses and our communities. On Sept. 1, the Yolo County Board of Supervisors will receive an update on the 2020-21 budget and conduct a workshop in advance of adoption of the Final Budget on Sept. 29. Virtual Town Hall, 8.28.20

On Friday, August 28, 2020, I hosted a Virtual Town Hall and was joined by Dana Carey, Yolo County Office of Emergency Services (OES) Coordinator. Together, we addressed local issues like our COVID-19 response, the Yolo-Alert emergency alert system, and our after-action plan following the LNU Lightning Complex Fire. Friends, I am writing to share some updates and resources related to the LNU Lightning Complex Fire and COVID-19, both of which are continuing to impact our community. Many in our county and region have suffered great losses over the last week and many continue to fight for their health during this pandemic.
