We know Don well and have worked with him on many issues since he became a Davis school board trustee in 1995. ... Don Saylor must be one of Davis's most active public citizens. As he said in the letter announcing his candidacy, "Working for you is a high calling for me." Beyond his long service in elected office, first as a school board trustee, and currently as a member of the city council since 2004, Saylor gives his time, energy and brains to a number of local and statewide organizations working to improve governance of our state, county and city. In July, he hosted the Yolo County Leadership Summit in Winters that brought together over 60 senior officials from the county and all of its cities and school districts.
