Davis Mayor Ruth Asmundson introduced elected officials present. Behind Ruth are Woodland Councilmemebr Bill Marble, Witnters Mayor Mike Martin and Woodland Mayor Skip Davies. Ruth and Don served together on the Davis School Board from 1995-99 and on the Davis City Council since 2004. Heather Fargo spoke about Don's involvement in the League of California Cities and as a Board member of the Sacramento Area Council of Governments. Heather served as council member and mayor of Sacramento for nearly two decades and as President of the League of California Cities. Standing are Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, Winters City Councilmember, Charlotte Krovoza, DJUSD Student Trustee, Bill Marble, Woodland City Councilmember, Skip Davies, Woodland Mayor, Gina Daleiden, DJUSD Board President, Stephen Souza, Davis City Councilmember and Jeff Reisig, Yolo County District Attorney. Sitting are Senator Lois Wolk, Former Superintendent of Public Instruction Delaine Eastin and Yolo County Supervisor Helen Thomson. About 100 community members attended the July 29 kickoff announcement.
